The Lightspeed NT Server is an advanced, NT-based gateway for Wang VS minicomputers providing TCP/IP connectivity to a broad range of Lightspeed clients (Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8, both 32- and 64-bit).
The NT Server can accommodate multiple 928/WLOC* cards and support multiple VS systems; however, use of multiple interface cards is an add-on option and must be separately purchased and authorized. Single card use is provided at no additional cost to users under current maintenance agreements as a natural upgrade from earlier, DOS-based Lightspeed servers.
* 928/WLOC cards require a PC with an ISA slot. Windows XP is the latest OS known to still work with the WLOC card. If you cannot support Windows XP, we suggest upgrading your VS to the VSGX, which no longer uses the WLOC card for TCP/IP connections to the VS.
